The following prerequisites are needed for a successful migration:

  • Prerequisites for the planning phase
    1. Use Univonix Migrate to generate a PBX assessment report.
    2. Run the export command in the legacy PBX management console.
    3. Although not mandatory, a more detailed 'feature parity' report can be generated by the Univonix system, which can help significantly with the planning phase.
    4. If Microsoft Teams is your target PBX, a short PowerShell script is available for download from the resources menu to extract the needed information from the Active Directory.

  • Prerequisites for the execution phase
    1. This is the phase where the actual migration takes place.
    2. The information from the planning phase is needed with some additions.
    3. The mapping of each phone line and user in the legacy PBX to an Active Directory, (AD) entry takes place during this phase so a snapshot of the AD is required.
    4. In addition, it is important that the target PBX servers be installed and configured with the various policies and gateways prior to migration with Univonix Migrate. A copy of the target PBX server configuration is needed in order to get the most benefit from Univonix Migrate.
    5. A short PowerShell script is available for download from the resource menu to extract the needed information.
