These items are required before beginning the installation. If they do not exist, you may not begin the installation.

  • Only Windows Server 2012 R2 – 64 bit and Windows Server 2016 are supported. The installation and configuration of the Windows Server and joining it to your network is beyond the scope of this document and is not covered here. This Server is separate from the already installed Skype for Business Server and has network access to it.
  • The servers must have access to a working internet connection.
  • Run Windows Update to make sure that all of the latest windows updates are installed. Reboot the Server as required for all the updates to download and complete their installation.
